Out of the box, TypeRoom works perfectly for managing 5-1,000 page websites that are laid out in heirarchy (ie, when pages are filed and categorized under each other). We focused on getting the basics right and making it easy...even enjoyable...to use.
Flexible and Customizable
To keep the system simple, we purposefully did not add blogs, e-commerce, calendars, and other unique systems to the core. Instead, we created an plugin system that is flexible and very easy to useand which can accommodate all of these common scenarios and more. Interactive Photo Galleries
We can make virtually any layout for a photo gallery into an interactive TypeRoom plugin that allows for non technical users to manage their own photos. Some of the features include reordering the photos by just dragging and dropping and auto-resizing photos upon upload.
The best thing, is that once a photo gallery plugin has been created, it can be re-used over and over again in the website simply by dragging and dropping a new gallery plugin into place. In this way, you can create pages and pages of categorized photo galleries with ease. (Perfect for photo-intensive websites such as photographers and designers).
News Systems
A database-driven news system can be created as a TypeRoom Plugin and tie in seamlessly to the rest of the website to provide a chronological presentation of news-type data. News systems we have created in the past have the following features (but each are slightly different).

We can also create a specialized version of this plugin that allows for multiple news systems to co-exist on one website. In this instance, creating a new news-system is as easy as dragging a new "news system" plugin into place.
Press Release Systems
A database-driven press-release system can be created as a TypeRoom Plugin which can provide for a chronological presentation of press-release-type data. Create a press release and just set a date for it to become available on the website. It will automatically appear on that date. Old press releases will be automatically stored and archived which is great for SEO.

Simple E-Commerce
Integrating hosted solutions such as PayPal, Google Checkout are extremely easy to do with TypeRoom. Just drag and drop a payment button and that is it. Shopify and other hosted systems work great with TypeRoom as well.
Custom E-Commerce
TypeRoom's plugin system really shines on more complex developments such as custom e-commerce systems. Editing products and categories is similar to editing any content on TypeRoom: simply browse to the item you wish to edit and click "edit". More details is provided on the custom e-commerce page.
Event Registration Systems
Create events and allow users to register and optionally pay for those events. Set maximum attendance limits, export attendees of an event to Excel and more. These systems are usually customized to fit each unique event.
Password Protected Pages
Password protect a page simply by dragging a plugin, or by choosing a password protected page template. Granting user access can be done in any number of ways ranging from providing a single password to all users, to integrating with a corporate LDAP system, to managing a database of users.
Membership Websites
This includes websites for associations, chambers of commerce and other similar membership-type organizations. Websites such as this have unique needs that can easily be accomplished using a combination of TypeRoom plugins. For example:

Flash is generally thought to be static and not-editable once it is created. This does not have to be the case. We can build custom flash systems in TypeRoom that can contain content that is easily

We also have partners that do highly custom surveys that can be brought on for specific types of client needs. Allowing users to communicate with a support or sales representative in real-time can be a very efficient and effective means of communication. For larger chat systems that require many operators we recommend making use a 3rd party tool such as Live Person. Podcasts are a great way to keep existing clients and partners connected, and to attract new customers. We can help find either a 3rd party podcasting host, or provide this functionality directly from TypeRoom as a plugin.
